With about 300 million euros instead of 8.1 billion euros it would also be cheaper. The other option would be to simply include the 8.1 billion euros with which the "ZDF Heute Journal" by Claus Kleber among others is payd is added to the defense budget. Then Germany would be much closer to NATO's 2 % target. [15] [16]
