The Green-Party in Germany has the image to be for immigrants and generally for people from other countries. Thus all the more interesting are the processes at the hospital of Stuttgart. The Police Raid

On Wednesday April 25, 2018 the Stuttgart Public Prosecutor's Office and the State Criminal Investigation Office searched 24 apartments and business offices in Baden-Württemberg, Bavaria, Hesse, North Rhine-Westphalia and Saarland. As a result nine persons are suspected as service providers for the placement and support of the billed but not provided services and thereby procured improper commissions. Of these five people are suspected to have made payments to at least one former employee of the hospital and granted private interest-free loans. In addition nine other people are suspected of having signed the fake bills. This costed the recipients of the bills for foreign patients from Libya, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Oman and the United Arab Emirates. [1] [2] [3] [4]

Werner Wölfle

On Thursday April 26, 2018, Werner Wölfle (Bündnis 90/Die Grünen) defended his role in the scandal. According to the information of Wölfle (Bündnis 90/Die Grünen) he immediately contacted the prosecutor after he knew of the scandal. Werner Wölfle (Bündnis 90/Die Grünen) was during the proceedings Mayor for General Administration and Hospitals and is now mayor for Social and Social Integration. [5] [6]

In January Wölfle (Bündnis 90/Die Grünen) then filed a disciplinary action against himself. He also announced after the end of his term in August 2019 to no longer stand for re-election and doesn't want to pursue any further activity for the city of Stuttgart. And in February then the Stuttgart prosecutor initiated a preliminary investigation on suspicion of unfaithfulness to Wölfle (Bündnis 90/Die Grünen). Wölfle (Bündnis 90/Die Grünen) is accused of having enriched himself with a consultancy agreement of the now defunct Foreign Department of the Hospital "International Unit" and Kuwait. Andreas Braun

Andreas Braun (Bündnis 90/Die Grünen) was from 2005 to 2015 Head of Department at the Municipal Hospital of Stuttgart and the Chairman of the Greens in Baden-Württemberg. In addition Braun (Bündnis 90/Die Grünen) headed the department "International Unit" at the Municipal Hospital of Stuttgart until 2016 which was tasked with recruiting wealthy patients from abroad. Because of the danger of flight Braun (Bündnis 90/Die Grünen) sat from May to September 2018 on suspicion of corruption in custody for five months. During his imprisonment he then quit the party. According to prosecutors there was no danger of flight of Braun anymore and he came free in September 2018. But the affair of Braun widened in January 2019 with the allegation that the Stuttgart trams involved in bribes. Braun is said to have also bribed a staff member of the Stuttgart trams for a contract. [13] [14]
