Do you know Justin Trudeau?
He is the Prime Minister of Canada since 2015 and deserves a prize for his portrayal of a liberal politician.
His deceptive politics began in the election campaign, when he ran under the campaign banner Real Change.
After the victory his administration began both to distract the public and to exploit the vocal majorities as well as vocal minorities. Justin Trudeau describes himself as a male feminist. And Canada continues to provide weapons to Saudi Arabia where women have far fewer rights than men at the same time. He is also a friend of language rules meaning the verbal gentrification that doesn't really change anything but gives personal satisfaction. For example he once interrupted a journalist for using the word mankind and recommending her to say peoplekind because it is less misogynistic. Trudeau has also announced plans to protect the Canadian nature while in the province of Alberta oil sands are exploited at high cost for the nature. Another buzzword in his administration is equality under whose cover he has eased labor migration this moral gentrification that only the wealthy can afford.
The Left has lost the class struggle for a better standard of living at least for now. As an alternative struggle it embraced identity politics whose progressive surface fits the left agenda. A policy which however fragmented society into smaller and smaller groups and drove each other into the fight for attention from the polical sphere. With this left-wingers play the game of those who want to thwart the fight for a better standard of living and play the game of divide and conquer. Because all the energy that goes into identity politics divides society further and distracts left-wingers from the struggle for better living conditions.
The Trudeau administration deceives many with this policy. It also draws its approval from this positive image. And with that the Trudeau administration diverts attention from the negative consequences and thus escapes criticism.
Something similar also took place with conservative parties in Europe. So there is the accusation that CDU/CSU (Germanys conservative party) has shifted to the left. This is not entirely correct the CDU/CSU still pursues the same economic policy which has little left for the working-class. The conservative parties as well as the CDU/CSU pursue policies that appear socially progressive on the surface and minority politics like the Trudeau administration. For conservatives Islam now belongs to Bavaria, Germany and everywhere else. The legalization of gay marriage is no longer a taboo and immigration is to be promoted.
With this strategy conservative parties as well as the CDU/CSU adapt to the political mood. Leftists simultaneously fall into a competition. However the left is distracted and she wastes its strength which it then no longer has to fight for a better standard of living and higher wages.
